Below is an email received 04/29/08 Subject: Customer Comment Prior to arriving in Vegas, my mother and I booked the 3.5 hour helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon with the Grand Canyon Tour Company. I can honestly say they are one of the most professional company’s I have had the pleasure of dealing with. We were picked up at the door of our hotel by our most polite chauffeur, Roger, in his stretched limo and transported to the airstrip. Roger offered us photo opportunities in/outside of the limo and was most accommodating. After weigh in (my excuse for the added pounds was my heavy handbag!!), we were seated in a waiting area and given a safety video to watch. Our pilot, Coby, called those on his flight and after initial introductions we were safely escorted to our helicopter. Following a few photos in front of our helicopter, we boarded – how exciting! Not only was our Pilot, Coby, extremely knowledgeable, pointing out so many places of interest, but was also exceptionally polite and courteous, answering every question put to him as though it was the first time he had been asked the question. Our landing on the floor of the Canyon allowed for more photo opportunities, with a fab champagne picnic lunch provided. The return journey gave us a bird’s eye view of the full length of the Strip, landing back at McCarran airport for our return limo journey back to the hotel. On our return limo journey Roger (chauffeur) offered us yet another photo opportunity at the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, (thanks Roger – it was much appreciated!) All in all – a FANTASTIC tour, made all the more enjoyable by the efficiency and superb organisation of the tour company and, of course, two outstanding members of staff (Roger and Coby) whom we had the pleasure to meet. Thank you Grand Canyon Tours – I would not hesitate to recommend you to all who travel to Vegas wanting to book a trip to the Grand Canyon! Below is an email received 04/06/08 Subject: awesome tour My family and I went on the South Rim Bus Tour with your company on March 25, 2008. We were a bit apprehensive about taking a long bus ride to the Canyon, but that feeling did not last long. As soon as our driver-James D.- stepped onto the bus and began speaking, we knew that we were in good hands. He was funny, informative and entertaining. He made a very long ride seem like a short one. He not only was concerned with giving us as much information as possible about every historic point along the way, he was even more concerned about our safety and especially the safety of our daughters (8 and 24 yrs old). He brought along a few DVDs from his private collection-including disney movies that were appropriate for both parents and children. Even though our younger daughter was the only child on board, he made her experience both educational and fun. Below is an email received 2/14/08 Subject: South Rim Bus Tour Sandy, Just wanted to let you know that my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our South Rim Bus Tour on February 8, 2008. The driver, Branden, was excellent and gave a wonderful narrated tour and sid that he was available to answer any questions that anyone might have and that if he didn't know the answer, he would find out and get back to them. He made frequent rest stops so everyone could stretch which was good when you're on the road for such a long period of time. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone and hope that they are lucky enough to have Branden for their driver. Below is an email received 11/27/07 Subject: Grand Canyon Great Adventures Comment Hello....I took the Grand Canyon Bus/ Helicopter tour, also known as Great Adventure, on the day after Thanksgiving, November 23, 2007. I just want to write this to tell you what an incredible and deep impression this tour and your company has made on me during that recent visit to Las Vegas for me. Everything, with the exception of waiting, went well for me and the rest of the people on the tour, and I want to share this experience with future and return guests of GCTC who hope to check out the Grand Canyon. I must tell you that the tour was fantastic, due in large part, to our tour guide, Ron. I apologize that I do not have his last name, but would invite him to step right up to take full credit, as I've cc'd him on this e-mail. The passion and sheer love for his job is infectious. He is just a really funny, likeable guy, who made a long day just fly by. It is obvious that he puts forth an effort to study up on the subject matter, sharing stories and facts throughout the trip, playing videos and music related to the area. He is able to strike a balance keeping his guests engaged and giving them some quiet time when appropriate . Notice I refer to his passengers as guests, rather than customers. He is interesting and funny, treating everyone respectfully (even some real pains), while being jovial with just a little teasing thrown in for laughs. People like Ron reflect well on your organization. His passion for the beauty of the area comes through in his commentary. We loved Las Vegas and plan to return in the future. When we do, we will explore booking tours with your company in the future. Thanks very much for a life-changing experience! In particular, Ron, our tour guide and driver was incredibly knowledgeable of facts, figures and the latest news of Las Vegas, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. We were delayed on our return trip because we had to pick up persons who were stranded at the Grand Canyon Airport due to very windy conditions, but Ron was able to get us back close to schedule so that some of the passengers could make a 10 PM shown. After going through 4 hurricanes this summer, we all needed to take some time off and get out of Florida for a few days. We booked the "Grand Canyon Total Experience Tour (ORGC-U)", and it was awesome. Our tour director's name was Bill. He was the best ! He's a big guy, and he's not very pretty (just kidding Bill), but he was great !!!!!!!!! He picked us up at our hotel at 6:30 a.m. exactly. Right away, we were impressed with his punctuality, and he only got better from there. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor, and he knew the answers to all of our questions. Along with our group of 4, there were also 2 oriental ladies with us. Even though they did not speak much English, it was obvious that they had a great time as well. Bill kept us laughing the whole time, and he even laughed at some of our bad jokes ! The information that he gave us was very informative and interesting. He truly made our tour an experience to remember. As a business owner, I know that it seems like the unhappy customers are always the first ones to write a formal letter of complaint, and you never seem to get as many happy letters as you get complaints. This is why I wanted to take the time to write this letter to your company. After taking our tour, it is obvious that you folks know exactly what you're doing. Everything ran very smooth and on time. Although we only come to Las Vegas once a year, I will make sure that I recommend this company to all my family and friends who are planning future trips to Las Vegas. We all feel that Bill went "over and above" for us, and we really appreciate that. He definitely has the ultimate "Tour Guide Personality", and he is truly an asset to your company. If your other tour guides are half as personable as Bill, then it's obvious why you have the best Tour Company in Vegas ! My mother is in a wheelchair for adventures of this nature, and the pilot, Marlene, and the bus driver, Jack could not have been kinder and extended more excellent service to make her first trip to the Grand Canyon a memorable one. She has been all over the world but never seen the Grand Canyon until now. She thoroughly enjoyed the flight and the tour. Special commendations go to Jack for pointing out a way into the Bright Angel Lodge which is wheelchair accessible. When the bus had to leave for Yavapai Point without us (due to the aforementioned out-of-the-way accessbile route), he left Winston behind to assure us that he would be back. I will recommend your company to anyone I know who is contemplating a trip of this type. Thank you again for a memorable experience for a 82-year-old retired teacher, and for me as well; I have been to the Grand Canyon, but never approached from the air, and I definitely enjoyed the different perspective.
