He knows everything about the canyon and let us in on a lot of info about towns along the way. The lunch was wonderful.

Ron,

Hi,

My family and I took your tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on Friday, 5/15/09 .  We were a little apprehensive because of the long bus ride but our driver, Ron, entertained everyone on the bus with stories that were both interesting and funny.  This, combined with the stop at Hoover Dam and our delicious, hot, sit-down lunch at the Grand Canyon Railway, made the bus ride seem like a ride around the block.  Once we arrived at the South Rim we had plenty of time to enjoy the view and shop before returning to Las Vegas that night and being conveniently dropped off at our hotel.  I cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed the trip.  The next time we are in Vegas, we will be taking another tour with your company (hopefully with Ron at the wheel)!!!

I took one of your Grand Canyon South Rim Tours on Saturday, March 7th 2009 with a bus driver named Ron. He was terrific. He was very funny and entertaining during the drive and made the time pass very quickly. He provided many historical facts, local rumors, famous entertainers home sites, Indian folklore and customs, dates of significant events and important happenings of the people, places and events along the route. He also provided many cost saving tips and suggestions that could make the time spent in Las Vegas a lot less expensive. His personality really made the trip a pleasure to take.

I would highly recommend any trip that was guided by "Captain" Ron.

P.S. Another nice feature of the tour was the hot buffet lunch that was provided. It included a many item salad bar, hot vegetables, choices of meats and drinks with a good desert top it off. It was sure better than a boxed lunch that might have been served or could have been expected. It was a nice treat.

Hi--Couldn't find exactly where to leave a comment in regard to how we liked our trip--so here goes!

We took the "Southrim" tour on February 27th with Ron Sparks as our guide!

We really enjoyed our day with him.  We can't figure out how one person can cram so much knowlege about the Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Vegas and places along the way into his head--and remember it all!  We enjoyed every minute of the tour, and are hoping to take another tour next year--providing Ron is our guide!

You truly have one of the best guides for the job--he was so friendly-my husband enjoyed talking about trucking with him on a couple of the stops--we're really impressed!!

Thanks again, and we hope to do this again next year--economy permitting.

Would like to spend a little more time at Hoover Dam also, but the Canyon is just magnificent!!

My name is Fern and we were visiting Las Vegas, from Vermont, the weekend of Feb. 19th, 2009 and on the 21st we took your bus tour.

I was traveling with my husband Mike and our cousins Tim and Amy Mumford. It was Tim's birthday and he wanted to see the Hoover Dam and I myself was adament that we were going to the Grand Canyon while out there this trip, so your tour fit both desires.

My husband, Mike, had never been on a bus tour and really before this never had a desire to. He agreed to go with us and was totally impressed with your tour. You made his first bus tour fantastic and he enjoyed it greatly, so much in fact that when we got home he asked my parents to come out with us sometime and take your tour.

I want to let you know that you did a fantastic job and taught us a lot about the Dam and Canyon and I must say I have been on several bus tours with my daughter but you were the best tour guide by far. It was a pleasure to be on your bus.

We will visit again and hopefully bring more people for your tour.

It was our first time in the Grand Canyon , and let me tell you, that I am very glad that we chose you as our way to get there. Your driver/guide was excellent, in every sense of the word. He had thorough knowledge of Las Vegas , the canyon, the dam, and everything else that we might have come across. Additionally, he really made us feel safe when we were on the bus. What a wonderful young man. I can't remember his name, but he was a read-head, heavy-set gentleman, probably around 30-35 years of age.

Prior to arriving in Vegas, my mother and I booked the 3.5 hour helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon with the Grand Canyon Tour Company.  I can honestly say they are one of the most professional company’s I have had the pleasure of dealing with.

We were picked up at the door of our hotel by our most polite chauffeur, Roger, in his stretched limo and transported to the airstrip.  Roger offered us photo opportunities in/outside of the limo and was most accommodating.  After weigh in (my excuse for the added pounds was my heavy handbag!!), we were seated in a waiting area and given a safety video to watch.  Our pilot, Coby, called those on his flight and after initial introductions we were safely escorted to our helicopter.  Following a few photos in front of our helicopter, we boarded – how exciting!  Not only was our Pilot, Coby, extremely knowledgeable, pointing out so many places of interest, but was also exceptionally polite and courteous, answering every question put to him as though it was the first time he had been asked the question.  Our landing on the floor of the Canyon allowed for more photo opportunities, with a fab champagne picnic lunch provided. 

The return journey gave us a bird’s eye view of the full length of the Strip, landing back at McCarran airport for our return limo journey back to the hotel.

On our return limo journey Roger (chauffeur) offered us yet another photo opportunity at the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, (thanks Roger – it was much appreciated!)

All in all – a FANTASTIC tour, made all the more enjoyable by the efficiency and superb organisation of the tour company and, of course,  two outstanding members of staff (Roger and Coby) whom we had the pleasure to meet.

Thank you Grand Canyon Tours – I would not hesitate to recommend you to all who travel to Vegas wanting to book a trip to the Grand Canyon!

Subject: awesome tour

My family and I went on the South Rim Bus Tour with your company on March 25, 2008.  We were a bit apprehensive about taking a long bus ride to the Canyon, but that feeling did not last long.  As soon as our driver-James D.- stepped onto the bus and began speaking, we knew that we were in good hands.  He was funny, informative and entertaining.  He made a very long ride seem like a short one.  He not only was concerned with giving us as much information as possible about every historic point along the way, he was even more concerned about our safety and especially the safety of our daughters (8 and 24 yrs old).  He brought along a few DVDs from his private collection-including disney movies that were appropriate for both parents and children.  Even though our younger daughter was the only child on board, he made her experience both educational and fun.
Thank you soooooo much for an awesome tour.  We can now cross The Grand Canyon of of our "must see" list.  We highly recommend your company to anyone looking for a tour of the canyon.

He made frequent rest stops so everyone could stretch which was good when you're on the road for such a long period of time. Subject: Grand Canyon Great Adventures Comment

Hello....I took the Grand Canyon Bus/ Helicopter tour, also known as Great Adventure, on the day after Thanksgiving, November 23, 2007.  I just want to write this to tell you what an incredible and deep impression this tour and your company has made on me during that recent visit to Las Vegas for me. Everything, with the exception of waiting, went well for me and the rest of the people on the tour, and I want to share this experience with future and return guests of GCTC who hope to check out the Grand Canyon.
 
Our shuttle picked me up at the Excalibur on time and drove us to Planet Hollywood hotel where after check in, we were assigned into one of two busses for the tour, a white one and a blue one. I got the blue one, and the driver happens to be a heck of a guide named Ron, who I guess has received his more than fair share of kudos from past guests of GCTC. He led us inside this big, modern and comfortable motorcoach up the highway to hoover dam while he regaled us with lots of tidbits on the Las vegas area and even pointed out some celebs' homes on the way to Hoover Dam. The Dam itself is mighty impressive, and i felt amazed at what the thing does on a daily basis to provide water to the states that need it. After that we went off to Kingman for a stop before reaching Williams for our lunch, which was great! max and thelma's an awesome spot to be in. After that, we drove on towards the Grand Canyon National Park, and before long, the people who were participating in the Great Adventure such as myself was dropped off at Grand Canyon Airport, and the rest of the crowd continued. We got excited as we entered Maverick Helicopters' building for our heli flight.
 
After a good wait, we finally got into the modern ec-130 helicopter, or as I like to call it, "Fantastic Flying Squirrel", since the copter is codenamed Ecurreuil, or squirrel, in French. Anyway, after the safety briefing and fastening of our life vest and seat belts, we were off into the skies flying like an eagle. The views of Grand Canyon from the air is not just the coolest, not just the best, but indeed just incredible! Everybody dropped their jaws and snapped their cameras as the scenery unfolds beneath our helicopter. The 30 minute flight was well worth it for me, and we were shuttled after our landing to Bright Angel Lodge.
 
At Bright Angel, we met Ron and the rest of the coach group who was about to depart (!), but he was very happy to see us and let us have 10 minutes to take pictures at Bright Angel. Off we go after that back towards Las vegas, and as the night rise, the pleasant drive and commentary from Ron just kept on coming, as does watching "Ocean's 11" to anticipate our arrival into Sin City. I got dropped off at Excalibur very excited about the tour, and watching Mother Nature's wonder from the air and ground, and as was suggested by Ron on the bus for us to leave comments to you, I shall do so and also say THANK YOU GRAND CANYON TOUR COMPANY!!. Thank you for helping make my Vegas Thanksgiving weekend one to remember, and please do send more kudos to Ron for his passion in doing his work. I will return to Vegas again in Christmas time, and I'll be sure to look you guys up if I want to explore outside of the city once again. Thank you!

My husband and I booked a tour of the Grand Canyon during our recent visit to Las Vegas (our first!), to celebrate our anniversary.  I must tell you that the tour was fantastic, due in large part, to our tour guide, Ron.  I apologize that I do not have his last name, but would invite him to step right up to take full credit, as I've cc'd him on this e-mail. 

The passion and sheer love for his job is infectious.  He is just a really funny, likeable guy, who made a long day just fly by.  It is obvious that he puts forth an effort to study up on the subject matter, sharing stories and facts throughout the trip, playing videos and music related to the area.  He is able to strike a balance keeping his guests engaged and giving them some quiet time when appropriate .  Notice I refer to his passengers as guests, rather than customers.  He is interesting and funny, treating everyone respectfully (even some real pains), while being jovial with just a little teasing thrown in for laughs.  People like Ron reflect well on your organization.  His passion for the beauty of the area comes through in his commentary.

To Whom It May Concern:

My wife and I, along with another couple, just returned to Florida from a fantastic Las Vegas weekend, and I wanted to send you an e-mail to thank you for the great tour that we took with your company. After going through 4 hurricanes this summer, we all needed to take some time off and get out of Florida for a few days. We booked the "Grand Canyon Total Experience Tour (ORGC-U)", and it was awesome. Our tour director's name was Bill. He was the best ! He's a big guy, and he's not very pretty (just kidding Bill), but he was great !!!!!!!!! He picked us up at our hotel at 6:30 a.m. exactly. Right away, we were impressed with his punctuality, and he only got better from there. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor, and he knew the answers to all of our questions. Along with our group of 4, there were also 2 oriental ladies with us. Even though they did not speak much English, it was obvious that they had a great time as well. Bill kept us laughing the whole time, and he even laughed at some of our bad jokes ! The information that he gave us was very informative and interesting. He truly made our tour an experience to remember. As a business owner, I know that it seems like the unhappy customers are always the first ones to write a formal letter of complaint, and you never seem to get as many happy letters as you get complaints. This is why I wanted to take the time to write this letter to your company. After taking our tour, it is obvious that you folks know exactly what you're doing. Everything ran very smooth and on time. Although we only come to Las Vegas once a year, I will make sure that I recommend this company to all my family and friends who are planning future trips to Las Vegas. We all feel that Bill went "over and above" for us, and we really appreciate that. He definitely has the ultimate "Tour Guide Personality", and he is truly an asset to your company. If your other tour guides are half as personable as Bill, then it's obvious why you have the best Tour Company in Vegas ! My mother and I took the 2:30 South Rim tour on April 6, and I wish to send compliments and commendations to the entire staff for our trip. My mother is in a wheelchair for adventures of this nature, and the pilot, Marlene, and the bus driver, Jack could not have been kinder and extended more excellent service to make her first trip to the Grand Canyon a memorable one. She has been all over the world but never seen the Grand Canyon until now. She thoroughly enjoyed the flight and the tour. Special commendations go to Jack for pointing out a way into the Bright Angel Lodge which is wheelchair accessible. When the bus had to leave for Yavapai Point without us (due to the aforementioned out-of-the-way accessbile route), he left Winston behind to assure us that he would be back.

I will recommend your company to anyone I know who is contemplating a trip of this type. Thank you again for a memorable experience for a 82-year-old retired teacher, and for me as well; I have been to the Grand Canyon, but never approached from the air, and I definitely enjoyed the different perspective.

Pointing out every little detail on the flight out and back and keeping our champagne glasses full during our spectacular floor landing for lunch.
